There is little doubt about the inherent value of Keurig coffee makers in general.
They are durable, reliable, relatively easy to maintain and provide a good cup of coffee.
Between the models of coffee makers that are offered by Keurig, the K200 and K250 are seemingly identical when it comes to their size and overall features.
However, there are a few differences that should be noted before you make your final selection as to which one is best for your needs.

Keurig K200 vs K250

Specifications
The similarities between the K200 and K250 are numerous.
In fact, they are so numerous that many will see little practical difference at first. Both share the following specs:
- Brew Sizes: 9
- Reservoir: 40 oz
- Display: Black & White Touch
- Removable Dip Tray
- Strength Control
They are certainly nearly identical, but the main difference lies in the accessories.
While the K200 offers a single charcoal filter, the K250 offers two charcoal filters, a descaling solution, and four sample K-cup pods.
There are a couple of other differences as well, such as the K200 being available in more color schemes, including a turquoise version that may be going out of stock.
But aesthetic differences aside, the machines themselves are basically identical.
Pros of Both Coffee Makers
Both the K200 and K250 are part of the vaunted 2.0 line from Keurig.
This means that they are made to be convenient, easy to use, and simple to maintain.
Both models are visually identical, except for the aforementioned color schemes of which the K200 offers more if you are shopping around.
However, that is an aesthetic choice and not really a pro or con.
The additional accessories make the K250 somewhat more attractive to purchase, but this does come at a higher cost.
You will have to weigh whether the extra accessories are worth the extra money or not.
Cons of Both Coffee Makers
The 40 oz water reservoir is rather small for a house full of coffee lovers along with not being well suited for an office.
If you’re selecting for a few people, then either the K200 or K250 may be a great choice.
Just large enough to handle two or three people, yet small enough to be easy to clean and maintain.
Some have noticed that the K200 takes slightly longer to heat up the water, which is just over a minute compared to the K250 which does it in less than a minute.
The few seconds difference may or may not be important to you.
Otherwise, there really is no downside to purchasing either coffee maker in terms of its main design.
Both have a strong reputation for consistently delivering good cups of coffee.
Also, both the K200 and K250 are well priced compared to similar models from other companies.
Keurig K200 vs K250 Verdict: Which Coffee Maker is Best?
Basically, there is no functional difference between the K200 and K250.
Both machines are virtually identical in terms of function.
The only real difference is found in the accessories that are included in the K250.
If you want the accessories, then paying the slightly higher price is worth it.
If you are not interested in having the additional accessories, then the K200 is the better value.
What can be said is that both Keurig coffee makers are well constructed, durable, and reliable with only a little maintenance.
That makes them a good choice for the home and small office.
